Well, it’s not always what you should do – but sometimes also what you shouldn’t do. Each house & every client has a unique situation, but some themes almost always hold true.

1) Clean, clean, clean. Giving a great first impression is huge. Take the time to vacuum up that pet hair. Dust off those ceiling fans that you haven’t touched in years. Box up as much as you can to help your home appear decluttered.

2) If you have smoke stained walls in your home, take the time to repaint those walls. A gallon of paint is around $50 – but giving the potential Buyers the feeling that they are coming in to a home that they don’t have to immediately work on can go a long way.

3) Be careful what you spend on. We can walk through with you and tell you our opinion on where to spend money – if any. Typically, most of our Sellers want to maximize their profits and sell quickly. Taking these simple steps can increase the number of Buyers that are interested in your home – ultimately landing you the best outcome as you sell.
