Mice! Yikes! Protect your home this fall!

There are a few quick tips for you this fall to keep the mice out of your house. 1) Take a quick look around to see if you can find any evidence of them. Maybe mice poop or gnawing damage or that you can hear them in the ceiling or wall. 2) Make sure you aren’t giving them easy food sources or a nice place to make a home. Keep your food in cupboards or containers that they can’t chew through. Keep debris, bushes, and nesting material away from your exterior walls. 3) Eliminate any easy entry points into your home or garage. These little critters are TINY – they can get in through a tiny little crack or hole. Take a walk around your house and fill any cracks with caulk or sealant. Look at your windows, door openings, air conditioning lines, or as in the case from my video – attic vents. 4) If you think you have a mouse problem, be careful in how you handle it. You can get mouse traps and mouse bait any most stores – but make sure you protect your children and pets from exposure. A professional exterminator can do wonders, so it may be worth the call. All in all, it’s worth taking a few minutes to check your home this fall for mouse activity and to take precautions to prevent their access. Don’t give them a home for the winter 😊
